Onyx is the fourth strain of Stigma seen in New Blood. Onyx is Greek for the "claw."

Onyx hides within the organ, and is only visible with the ultrasound. Onyx must be cut out of the organ, and injected with a specialized serum. After it is injected with the serum, it creates several copies of itself as a defense mechanism, which can be told apart by the number and the shape of the white dots on the Onyx. After it is damaged enough times, it creates poison around the organ, obstructing the surgeon's vision and drastically lowering vitals.

Onyx's only mutation, if it can even be considered that, is the main form of Onyx that is battled. This form is called a mutation in New Blood's storyline. The "normal" form is just like the "mutation" form, except it can't use Poison Web.
[edit] General Tips
The only way to tell a real Onyx apart from its fake copies is the shape and number of dots on its head. The real Onyx will have four dots in a square form, while its copies will have three in the shape of a triangle. Also, pay close attention to the direction Onyx is facing as it dives into the organ, as Onyx will always be found in that general area.
[edit] Stats and Attacks
Onyx requires anywhere from 5 to 8 injections of the serum to be defeated.
- Clone Creation- After a few injections with the serum, Onyx will create clones of itself to attempt to trick you, similar to Sige. The clones have 3 white dots whereas the real Onyx has 4 dots (noticable while the ultrasound is in use).
- 5 Lacerations- If not found soon enough, Onyx will reveal itself from hiding, making five lacerations in a star pattern, similar to Bythos (except Onyx makes 5 lacerations whereas Bythos only makes 4). Onyx will also attack if a copy is excised.
- Poison Web- Onyx releases a toxin into the patient's bloodstream, creating a "web" of poison, obstructs the surgeon's vision and drains vitals. However, the toxins keep Onyx from diving into the organ, making the ultrasound unnecessary unless shifting your viewpoint. It only disappears after Onyx is defeated.
